Malissa Takacs
Counselor/IEC Tour Director
Malissa has worked in the field of college counseling and admissions for two decades. Most recently she has served as an international school college counselor in Basel, Switzerland and at Singapore American School. Malissa spent 2007 – 2015 at a therapeutic college preparatory boarding school in Virginia, where she served as Director of College Counseling. Lastly, her early career roles included working in college admissions at her undergraduate alma mater in Ohio (Assistant Director & Campus Visit Coordinator). Malissa earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Communication from Bluffton University (OH), a master’s of Social Work from Case Western Reserve (OH), her M.Ed from University of Virginia, and her UCLA College Counseling Certificate (2010).
Malissa has now joined TS College Tours as the Director of Counselor & IEC Tours and looks forward to engaging with colleagues in college counseling and admissions. She is currently serving as the Co-Chair of the International ACAC Mentor Year Program, on the First Timers (conference) Committee; additionally she is the lead consultant for the Global Shapers Thimphu (Bhutan) Hub and the College and Career Readiness Team.
