Our History
Since 2009
TS College Tours was founded in 2009 and originally only offered pre-scheduled US college tour programs in the summers. Since the first program of 28 students, TS College Tours has served thousands of students of more than 40 nationalities! Our programs quickly expanded to offer custom tours for school groups and families throughout the school year, and added programs in the UK and Canada. In the last two years, we have started offering counselor and IEC college tours programs, as well as providing consultation and professional development services and professional development programs to schools. Our growth has far surpassed our expectations and we continue to aspire to help students, counselors, and schools.

Who we are
We are a group of college counselors who work or have worked in high performing schools around the world. As a group, we have personally visited over 800 unique institutions in the US and an additional 400 around the world! For the past 11 years we have run college tour programs for students to visit colleges and universities in the US, Canada, and the UK.
What We Do
We provide college tour programs for students, counselors and IECs. Along with our pre-scheduled tour programs, we also offer custom tour programs for schools, organisations and families, In addition, we provide training and consulting services for schools on a wide range of topics related to the application and admissions process. Our sessions are run by expert counselors and help schools and students better understand the application process for universities around the world.
Recognizing the need for counselors and IECs to stay on top of their craft, we offer counselor tour programs to visit colleges around the US. Gaining personal knowledge of different institutions is crucial to providing families with sound advice and guidance. According to the Independent Educational Consultants Association, IECA members have – on average – visited and evaluated more than 150 campuses each (annually about 20% of their work time.)
We support Counselors and IEC’s in their pursuit of visiting campuses so that they can assist students through their university research to the highest professional degree.
Our Team
The people behind our success
Our team consists of highly experienced college counselors from international high schools and former university admissions officers. We carefully select our staff based on his or her knowledge of the college admissions process, their understanding of and ability to ‘connect’ with students with international backgrounds. All are members of the National Association of College Admission Counseling and have collectively visited more than 600 college campuses in the US, Canada and the UK.
Our counselors maintain close, strong working relationships with admissions representatives at many of the leading universities in the world.

Our Programs
Most of our tour programs are approximately one week long and provide the opportunity for counselors and consultants to visit 12-14 different campuses. We typically schedule two (sometimes three) visits per day and most evenings are free to explore the city/area we are in that evening. When possible, we also arrange some evening activities (shopping, theatre, sports games etc.) for those interested and based upon the group’s daily schedule and location.
Each university visit consists of a campus tour and a meeting with an admissions representative, which both allow counselors and IEC’s to experience the community in person. Campus visits give direct access to admissions office insights and practices and affords time for your personal questions to be answered. When possible, individual universities are able to coordinate additional elements such as a meal with staff or in the dining hall, a student panel, or a brief faculty lecture.
The value of attending one of our programs is that every aspect of your trip is coordinated for you, and all you must do is: register and show up! We arrange every part of the itinerary, including meals and accommodation, so that you can spend the maximum amount of energy expanding your institutional knowledge; additionally, this saves you hours of planning. Unlike touring on your own, or joining the public tour offerings, our tours provide networking opportunities with other counselors, IECs, admissions representatives and other staff members, and current university students.
Commitment to Access
TS College Tours is committed to access and equality, and thus invites IECs whose practice is classified as or grounded in Community-Based or Non-Profit work (or those working in a full-time capacity with underserved populations), to submit an application to be considered for our discounted rate of 75% off the cost of the tour that you’d like to attend. We will select and invite one counselor per tour to join at this highly discounted rate depending on need.
